What bands/music groups have you seen LIVE?

Winona Fighter wasn't terrible, the crowd was pretty subdued for a punk band though. More my style than Incubus was, which was far from bad themselves. Not fair, their guitarist i swear hasn't aged a day since he started popping up on Guitar World covers.
I didn't say they were bad, I said they were pop punk. Kind of generic, catchy tunes and unoffensive that will appeal to the masses, but nothing that makes them really stand out besides having a female singer, which has been done better by pop groups like no doubt or avril Lavigne, with better vocalists.

Not bad from what I heard from them, but not "blown away" either.

Thanks, yes, indeed! You have some of the greats of the industrial, post-punk and dark wave genres in your list I would almost kill to see live.
Many in my list are smaller bands that play medieval fairs and/or only sing in German and thus are unable to get a foothold elsewhere. Genrewise it's the full spectrum from medieval/folk music to punk and metal and electronic music to hip hop. I'm still a musician, I can listen to almost any music as long as it's done well.

To be honest... Rammstein was not out of my own devices, my girlfriend at the time got the tickets. I would prefer And One. Rammstein are overbearing here and are close to the point of self-parody in my opinion. The impression people have of the band outside the german speaking world is very different from the way they are received here.

Bucketlist for me. I'm going to try and catch the next time they play here (in March I think), as long as they are not yet at the point they are just embarrassing themselves playing shows.
The cure always did a very laid-back show , no fancy thrills, but I love the atmosphere of concerts, I f I want a light show, I will see Muse again, that was an amazing show!

Muse have lost me the moment I watched a recording of a live show and noticed the singer was lip-synching. On a festival. I would have understood them cancelling the gig, but this is just a low point.

Nine Inch Nails can play in the lousiest club in town with no light show or anything, I'd still go, because I respect Trent Reznors music and work ethos. ;)

or the Decemberist, for the floating whale?
Say what? (That band is not on my radar at all)

A lineup starting with the cure, followed by †††, nine inch nails, meshuggah (speaking off light shows :)), then cooling down with teamsleep or palms (either way, Chino has to perform twice tonight) and falling asleep with hope sandoval & the warm inventions playing somewhere in the background, I wouldn't mind ever waking up again.

The Decemberists are fun, kind of folksy, REM inspired, their song "The Mariners Revenge" is one of my favorites of theirs, and At the show, they had a big whale ballon flying around when they did that song as an encore!

Not sure if it's because I'm old, or just by chance. I've only attended one concert - The Who. They did one of the first laser shows, 1976 at the Gator Bowl in Jacksonville, FL. There were two opening bands: Black Oak Arkansas and LaBelle, both of which were themselves already huge at the time.

I'll list the top 4 of my favorite artists who I have cooked for not seen as a guest instead.

Bruno mars. He and his whole family were the most kind and happy people. I catered him right when he was getting popular and his old school grandfather didn't believe all the buffet and food was free and for the artists, friends and family. A touching moment I'll never forget.

Florence and the machine. First off Florence welch has an amazing voice. She was very down to earth and genuinely said thank you and gave me a hug. Also one of the first artists and entourage I was left alone to cook for so special to me.

Mike posner. The reason I do not judge a book by its cover anymore. I catered artists and entourage at the sun God festival and remember telling the mother of my kids, "ugggh I gotta cater these kind of people " not my style music. Long story short, after show Mike posner was doing behind the scenes videos. He goes on to say he just purchased a property with an extra house he didn't need so he gave to a family in need. Also went on to say he played lego and soccer with kid of family he gave house to. Very humble man.

Wiz Khalifa. I catered him 3 years in a row. The one story I'll always remember is one year after concert was over (artists in dressing rooms doing whatever before hitting road on busses to next town) and I switched back tvs by buffet to top 100 County music videos. There are multiple levels of security at a concert, venue security, tour security, band security and rarely private security. So a venue security lady said " I don't think they would like to hear this" just as Wiz was cruising by inside on a scooter he said " he can watch what ever the f he wants." . Another super kind guy and crew. I have many stories of those guys.

I could go on and on but tried to think of some of most humble and kind artists I've served.

Darn, an unfortunate autocorrect! Of course, acoustics but they are inclusive as well!

Surprised no one else caught that!
