What Are Your Thoughts On This, Puffer Tank?

I have this perfect spot for a pea puffer tank, the question I have is, would these dimensions work for say 4 or 5 pea puffers? 68 by 8 by 12. I know that 28 gallons can hold many pea puffers, but my I was wondering by how skinny it would be would aggression be a problem? If not, do you think I could keep 6 ottos? And I also had an idea of making it self sustaining, so I drop in tons of rcs, tons of pond snails wait a few months then add the puffers. Would 5 kill everything? Or would they be able to hide and breed, the puffers eat what ever they catch... and etc. You get the idea.

Well with pea puffers you can keep three in a ten gallon just make sure it’s heavily planted and it’s one male to three females for 28 gallons id do five PP ratio 2 males to three females there will be some aggressive behavior as they get used to eachother but it should calm down usually within a week or two as long as it’s planted heavily and there’s a lot of hiding spots and they can break the line of sight it should do fine and the rcs are small enough to hide from the puffers so they’d do great Ik Aqua pros has pea puffers and some Shrimp accidentally got lost in there and lived as for snails they should also be good as long as they have nooks and crannies

Incase I can’t find pea puffers, any other suggestions for something that will eat snails? I was thinking 2 crayfish maybe? What do you think?

Well one adult crayfish needs a 20 gallon by it self so two adult crayfish might not work they will fight different species of crayfish so try to get both the same and get two females but I would considering maybe a 30 gallon fish tank at most so they have enough room to grow and roam without bumping into eachother and they will eat snails and plants so might not be the best for a planted tank any fish that doesn’t stay towards the medium or top part of you're tank will get examined by the CF and it’ll be swimming a lot to try to get away small shrimp will also be eaten and they poop a lot I mean ALOT

Dwarf Mexican that is, what other backup ideas do you have, for possible backups?

Well, surprisingly to me anyway. Electric Blue Acara, they have decimated the pest snail population in the tanks they inhabit. I toss some in from the other tanks, believe me they do not survive long.

For the dwarf type they say to have at least a ten gallon tank for them I’ve personally have t kept them I’ve only kept prawns or white crayfish or electric blue and there a decent size and I’m sure the dwarf are also gonna get you’re plants but I’m not sure

Thanks, I just did a quick google search and they can get up to 8” that is how wide the tank would be
