What Are Your Opinions On Large Betta Bowls?

    What do you think of large betta bowls, that are at least 3 gallons and have a small filter and heater, and maybe some plants? I think they're ok, as long as they are filtered and heated.

    It'll work. Please monitor his water parameters and give him frequent partial water changes.

    It works, but the roundness of the bowl distorts a betta's vision, which can scare them. Bowls aren't ideal in my opinion, but they do work :)

    +1 exactly why I don't like jars or bowls, the glass distorts vision and potentially can cause problems

    How do we know that the roundness creates problems? Any more than a bowfront tank. Or for that matter, how do we know sharp corners of a traditional square tank aren't disorienting for fish?
