What are your grumpiest looking fish?

I was messing around with my camera and realized that most of my fish always look so grumpy! What are your grumpiest fish? I'll go first:

My bumblebee gobies always look like they took a big swig of chunky, expired milk:

And then my poor marine betta just wants to be left alone to his cave, like an old man that just wants some peace and quiet while he fishes:

And my flowerhorn, Nanaue is incredibly upset with me for several reasons - I DARED to add some pots to his tank, I HAD THE GAUL to do a water change, and maybe worst of all, I tried to feed him with feeding tongs, which is apparently a big no-no for him. I thought he was gonna break the side of the tank trying to get away from them!

Your marine betta is stunning

I give you flex… The grumpiest plec in the north west. Decides when he eats , when he chases tank mates , when to rearrange the tank , what plants stay planted and where the clam will live this week.

Betta faces always look like a grumpy old man's face, sort of like Jeff Dunham's puppet, Walter. Peacock gudgeons look only slightly less grumpy. So i gotta go with 1a) my betta, Negan, and 1b) my gudgeons.

Come to think of it, most fish I know are grumps. Those few that look like smiling, those you have to be scared of.

My plecos mostly look wary to like they know something bad is going to happen.
My small shoaling fish tend to look all business.
Clowns look skittish.
Crime Loach looks like I just caught it doing something.
The dats? Hard to read.
Nibbles looks cute and either happy and smiling or hungry or sleeping.
Cories look like cories.
The Koi look desperate for food.

This is my best attempt at a grumpy pleco. He was just chased out of his home so he actually is grumpy there.

My betta always looked like he woke up 2 minutes before his alarm was supposed to go off. And now he’s mad because he missed those 2 minutes of precious, precious sleep. I don’t have a picture because my camera is terrible and he was very dark.

but here are my panda cories, who always look like they accidentally said something offensive at a dinner party:

Godfrey the goby, he used to get very cross when the cleaner shrimp came too close to His spot.

Most fish either feed at midlevel or at the surface, so they all seem to end up with faces that basically look like ono

Now, as for fish whose behavior matched that face, that'd definitely be Peachy, a betta I owned a long time ago. I picked him specifically because he was lively and ornery even in the store cup. For the time he lived in my 10 gallon, he'd swim around in short bursts, like someone stomping around in a total huff. I've never had another betta who would gill flare at just about everything.

Clown gobies are always so feisty once they settle in! It's a shame they're so hard to get eating and healthy.

Here's an updated grumpy betta pic:

Very excited to report that, despite looking grumpy, he's eating very well! These guys are notorious for not liking frozen foods, and I've been able to get him to take everything I've tried so far, even off of tongs! He got a live earthworm the other night, too.
