What are these white spots on my snail

help I don't know why my snail has these white dots around the edge of his shell and in a lil area only one out of three snails have this

Obviously one of your 3 snails thought it might be a mighty funny idea to lay its eggs on another snail.

 

Photo is not very clear. Grab the snail and get better photos.

My guess is you’ve got nerites laying eggs on the other snails. Happens often as nerites love to lay eggs on hard surfaces, driftwood, rocks, shells etc.

those are eggs for sure. They won’t hatch, they won’t harm the snail just leave them be . A little unsightly but kinda funny

Thank you I've been sick thinking I've created an unhealthy environment that's causing the shell issues. Thank you

 

No it’s simply just eggs ! Don’t panic. You’ll find them on wood , plants , glass .. everywhere really ! Scrub them off anything else if you feel the need to , just leave the snail be ! I’d personally not try to clean them off a snails shell myself

Most definitely Nerite eggs.

 

We might need to come up with a manual with everything we can think of-and maybe not think of-on what snails like to do. Basically, anything a snail can do to freak its owner out, a snail will probably do. They are very on their schedule only, as well.

I am actually amazed that helmet nerite stayed out of the sand long enough to get so many eggs on it ! Mine constantly stays buried, snails are strange for sure .
