Does anyone know what these growths are on her face? They are currently only on the left side. It was a lot worse than this but I had been treating her with Kanaplex and Metroplex in her food for the past 2.5 weeks but now it's starting to come back.
The two large growths appeared quickly and the largest one in the photo developed in the past 48 hours. The other previous large bulbs which developed larger than in the photo "open" into a fluffy cottony puff. Image 1025 is the clearest photo representation. Please note, I just did a water change in the photo so there are bubbles in the water.
There is also a slight white film on the very top of her wen which I assume is fungal. Her cheeks under her eyes and her eyes are protruding slightly. I've noticed her face seems a little more yellow than normal in the white areas (like jaundice) in the past few days?
Behaviorally, she is still active at times and moves around normally but when she is left to herself for a bit, she will sit on the bottom of the tank, not moving. Her appetite is good but coordination is not the best. She is still getting tiny minute ich spots on her fins (1-2) but those seem to disappear as soon as they appear because of the Metroplex.
I feed her twice a day with Repashy Soilent Green mixed with Kanaplex and Metroplex medicine, a couple mouthfuls of it. This had actually been working great until 48 hours ago.
My 75 gallon Tank parameters with API Master test kit:
PH - 8.2
Ammonia - between 0-.25 ppm
Nitrite - 0 ppm
Nitrate - 20-40 ppm
Filtration: I have three Aquatop 40 sponge filters in the tank.
Water Changes: I've been doing 25-50 percent water changes every day, almost every day since she's been sick. (I have a Python, thank ye gods.)
Temperature: The water is at room temperature which varies from 68 - 71 F.
( Also, I'd like to note, that the flare up happened after I removed the partition from her tank mate, another goldfish and I'm guessing she must have been stressed from that so I have separated them again. )
Previous illness: Before these cotton puffs appeared, I had to treat her for ich for a week because she had ich spots on her caudal and top fin, gulping air on top of tank, flashing and tremors. She was extremely lethargic and sitting on the bottom of tank all the time. I used Rid Ich. The ich spots disappeared and then these others spots flared up right after.
Thank you for reading through all this and looking at the photos, I appreciate any and all input, ideas or thoughts.
