What Are These Specks In Water?

    I don't know if I'm paranoid or not but I was looking at my water in my betta tsnk and usually if I stir it up it settles (after a water change which I did around 5 hours ago) but there are still small white particles floating all over the place hours later...are these bugs or something by any chance?

    They're basically microscopic I don't think my camera will capture them

    There were much more when I looked before I made this post now I only see a few, not sure if they move on their own or not but they are small. Smaller than a grain of salt and almost like a line shape not round. 20180412_221814.jpg

    Do they swim or move around if you knock the of the glass into the water

    I just watched them really closely for a second and I'm pretty sure they are swimming, what can I do I'm very worried are they going to over run my tank and can they hurt my fish?

    Sounds like detritous worms they are harmless but if you have a lot its a sign your substrate has too much organic waste
