I just discovered yesterday that one of my corys has developed these little red spots, one on his dorsal fin and the other in one if his side fins, they looks like little red cold sores. Are these parasites? Thanks!

I don't believe the red nodules are parasites. Probably tiny genetic flaws The red pigment of the nodules is likey due to the catfish being albino.

Thank you, I checked them today and they're no longer red, but the little lumps are still there.

The barbs probably poked through the skin.

Ive noticed when mine were first netted and brought home, their barbs were exposed at the tips and they healed up in time. Yours may have become more inflamed and are still healing up.

Frequent water changes will help the process and prevent infection
