Edit - sorry - car was sponge lol!

Bought it for $1 at Food Town. Its very, very porous, with much smaller holes/finer structure than most sponges. I figured if it was far washing a car they wouldn't include anything in it by default to avoid the risk of hurting the paint (or having owners worry it might ruin their paint).

But googling, it appears that might not be the case. Is there any way to tell for sure whether or not this has any anti-mold, anti-fungi, etc. additives? I even found the manufacturer here, but they say nothing about it.

Spongezz - Home

The package says it "Makes Loads of Suds", which sounds bad, although maybe they are saying that because it its very fine, porous structure.

Thanks!

Many sponges will be cleaned with a soapy mix whilst on the manufacturing line, which is bad for fish. However, if you wash the sponge thoroughly, fully dry it out and repeat, it should be fine. Wash it in de-chlorinated water. I know plenty of people who use cleaned car sponges and are fine.
