What are some good algae-eating fish?

I may respectfully disagree with the CAE (Chinese Algae Eater). They may eat algae when they're young, but grow quickly, start eating a carnivorous diet, and become extremely aggressive to the point of killing off all their tankmates, unless housed in a tank with large cichlids or similar fish.

SAE (Siamese Algae Eaters) are great algae eaters though.

These are not fish, but why not nerite snails and Amano shrimp? They eat algae just as well but don't impact the bioload too much, plus they are perfectly peaceful and can go in any tank, as long as the fish aren't big enough to eat them.

its ok to disagree but they do and will eat algae which is what the op asked...it takes them some time to mature and still as adults, they do eat algae but require meat as well in their diets
