Wasn't sure where to post this one

Boring, power outage since 12:30 PM because of strong wind. Usually there is snow at this time of the year and it should be around -10, -20 C, instead it was 16 C today, Poor Mother Nature
Good news, I have a generator
Boring, I'm home with my old Mom and my boyfriend is gone to his mother's place, that's where me and my mom were supposed to be tonight!
Good news, not a big party here, but we had some sandwiches and a few drinks!
But I am not complaning here, I am really spoiled to have a generator, I need to put gas about every 2 hours but I have power for the furnace if I need some heath, water (I live in the country), the fridge is running, I manage to have my 4 tanks running, the T.V and internet, and my boyfriend should be back home soon! There are worse things than that who can happend in life, just wanted to share my
Special Christmas Eve!

It's 75 degrees here in Orlando.

Yep, Florida really doesn't wanna participate in Winter.

I hate thunderstorms, just another reason for power outage!

It got up to 71 degrees in NYC today!

Went for an MRI and they called me an hour later (while unloading groceries from my car) because they couldn't contact my doctor. It appears that this pain in my foot is a severe stress fracture! I've been walking on it for over a month and they didn't see anything on 3 sets of xrays.

Now I'm all skeeved out, because now I know I'm walking on broken bone (s)...ew!

So here I sit on Christmas Eve watching "It's a Wonderful Life ", with my foot on a pillow.

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Lots of little bones in the feet, I swear I broke both of mine when I was a kid but X-rays weren't detailed enough to show anything and MRIs weren't much more than an idea!

Here in central Wisconsin, we had winds of 25-35 mph and gusts up to 60 mph last night and this morning. We lost power for 2 hours (8-10am) this morning. Sounds like you got what we had. This time last year we had over 16 inches of snow on the ground, and we haven't had even had a half inch yet this winter. We have had 1 day where it was single digits for a high temp, most days are 30-40's. Completely unusual for this time of year. Though, I am not complaining.

I had that too! In fact, I had flat feet and surgical correction (hyprocure). I'm just glad I got everything done for Christmas before knowing there was a fracture and now being somewhat grossed out about it.

I made 20 smaller tins and 2 large trays of Christmas cookies /kahlua brownies. Even went on vacation and to a concert. So, in this case ignorance really was bliss!;D

Thanks for the sympathy/empathy!

It's weird here too. There's a storm ("Eva") arriving in a couple of hours, just when we will be sitting down to Chrimbo dinner. Carlisle, and much of Cumbria, our county, flooded a couple of weeks ago, and we're expecting it to happen again, as the rivers are still high, and a few inches of rain are coming. It's usually freezing (just) at this time of year, but this winter so far is 'mild and wet'....

It's true. My friend and roommate is weather-obsessed and was just yesterday showing me the map of reported tornadoes that ripped through the southern US. At Christmas! That's normally something I start hearing about from him in spring. Those poor people

Actually, apparently the power that ran the refrigerator and the freezer out in the garage got knocked out yesterday. Luckily, I found it in time for us to fix it before any food spoiled, especially since that would've been a TON of food that would've spoiled.

Thank you very much.

It's wanted to rain in the afternoon for 3 days now, I'm starting to think we're in Summer not Winter at this point.

Well the rain changed direction at the last minute, and hit Lancashire and Yorkshire to the south of us. We had a lot but it didn't quite flood Carlisle. Those other counties are in a bad way. It's sunny here now.

It has been very mild here in NE Ohio for the past week. I managed to get some of the OSB I wanted to hang in the shop up (others would call it the garage but the vehicles sleep in the driveway...Well, the Harley sleeps in the shop ;D

It started raining yesterday. I wish they were thunderstorms (check my name ) but just a lot of rain.

I love thunderstorms too Until you said that was the reason for your name I was going to ask if it was the Harley!

There aren't any thunderstorms on the west coast, I really miss them

It's going to be 88 degrees tomorrow!

If my pool wasn't green due to a broken pump I'd go swimming!

Do you have a shelter against tornados? I guess lots of people have one in certain states?

It was 60 degrees here in MA on Christmas and then we get snow 2 days later, 2 days in a row. Then it warms up the next day and then freezes over the next. Ugh.....
