Damsels because of their (generally) very small size present a challenge to photograph. This little one is one that I saved from an abandoned spider's web a couple of years ago. You can see a strand of the web still on its face. This damsel would not leave my hand or arm, and stayed with me while I was photographing. When it was time to go I had to gently force it to leave. It hovered around me all the way to the edge of the pond as if to say thank you.
The hair on my hand gives you some scale as to its very small size.
