I am welcoming a couple more Botia sidthimunkI Loaches today... Zippy and Flash... named such because these fish are all over the place.
I was a little worried that they would not bond with Sid and Mickey but after the initial hour of chasing and a couple of nips from the older ones, now they are all schooling like they have been together all the time in spite of the fact that Zippy and Flash are a lot smaller than the other two. They are so darling together and the whole tank is devoted to only them. They and the pond snails are sharing the tank and so far they do not show any sign of wanting to make lunch of the snails. I think maybe I am feeding them too well. It is so cute to see them all together and I had never seen a school of fish move and act as one unit before. It is fascinating.
