I am welcoming a couple more Botia sidthimunkI Loaches today... Zippy and Flash... named such because these fish are all over the place.

I was a little worried that they would not bond with Sid and Mickey but after the initial hour of chasing and a couple of nips from the older ones, now they are all schooling like they have been together all the time in spite of the fact that Zippy and Flash are a lot smaller than the other two. They are so darling together and the whole tank is devoted to only them. They and the pond snails are sharing the tank and so far they do not show any sign of wanting to make lunch of the snails. I think maybe I am feeding them too well. It is so cute to see them all together and I had never seen a school of fish move and act as one unit before. It is fascinating.

hahahaha... Now your hooked on Loaches Now you see what I see in them After awhile you will start to see empty shells if you don't spoil them. It is after all easier to be fed than to hunt for your dinner. LOL

Well I will get pictures when I can but these little beauties are very small like this size ............. and kind of thin and they blend into the gravel. If I can find them all in mid hop with the others I may be able to get a picture you can see all 4 of them in. They are about half the size of the others though ... really tiny.

Yes, I am hooked to the point of now having 6!!!!! tanks and I am not sure what has possessed me (yes I know MTS in a BIG way ;D) I am even going to have to get a large Kritter Keeper for my q tank as I need to have something I can put away and have out of the way. ARGHHHH.

Oh I do love these fish. They are sitting right by my bed and in the mornings I set my alarm for about 30 minutes before I want to get up so I can lay there and watch them play.

Well as soon as they get the tank cleaned of snails, I have a surprise for them...they are going into a new tank (12 gallons) with a betta. They will have more room there and I hope to have it all done before they grow out of the old one.

Now all I have to do is get the Marty Jr. Betta...
