I’m not new to aquariums however I want others opinions about my current set up and I thought the beginners form would be the best place for this question.

I have a 30 gallon tank that is rather tall. I was able to put a 55-75 gallon filter onto it. I also have 2 air pumps on designed for a 10 gallon tank and one for a 55 gallon tank. I’m wondering what that will do to my stocking abilities. I would like to stock with Lake Malawi Cichlids as I have done in the past. I know the general rules of stocking a tank, however I have a lot of oxinization and filtration. How many Cichlids does everyone think I could realistically get away with?

Be a good idea to rule out Peacocks & Haps. They would quickly outgrow a 30 tall, and need a longer setup to be happy.
Research Mbuna, select a smaller variety that you like and start a single species colony. Start out with two males and six females. A well planned & constructed hardscape is required. Good luck.
