I have a male molly that is blind in one eye due to skin grown over it, it has been that way since I got him over seven months ago he was a small dude ( he's like 4 inches now). But that never interfered with anything like he swims, eats, and messes with my females fine. I got the females that I have at the same time as him But for the last two days he was acting weird by not swimming a lot and staying and laying down by the gravel and turning sideway at the bottom and doing weird movements and seemed just off so today I moved him from my 30 gallons into my 5-gallon hospital/ quarantine tank and I dosed it with the medicine for what I thought was wrong with him a couple of hours ago and now he seems to be doing better even though he is still down at the bottom but he is swimming more and not turning to the side when at the bottom. So my question is how fast does it normally take for the medicine take to get in and work? Also, could he have been being bullied by the females that's why he seems to be doing better now? I am quite confused. Also attached is a photo of my male molly. Also If bullying was the issue in my 30 gallons should I keep the male in the 5 gallons then to prevent further bullying if it is bullying to better help him?
