Weird clown loach behavior

The smaller of my two clown loaches does something strange. It zooms around the bottom of the tank with its nose/snout to the glass. I'm talking about hyper speed...mach 10. There are things on the bottom of the tank, like rocks and things, so the loach bumps into them, but it keeps on going. Is it getting hurt? What is it doing? I tried to examine the head to see if there were scratches...I'm sure there are some, but I don't see any outright bleeding.

 

Their just being Clown Loaches ;D that's one of the reasons they need lots of room. Mine dash all over the 75Gal then run over to look at me to see if i'm going to feed them a treat for being cute. They are so cool!!!

Glad your enjoying them their one of my favorite fish. They are also nosy and will wiggle into any hole or crevice they can fnd. Your in for a lot of amusement

Glad you actually get to see your clowns, mine stay hidden in a hollow log, only come out at night when lights are off

 

Have you tried bloodworms to get them to come out,mine can't resist them .That's what I do when people what to see them .

I have four clowns. Two adults and two babies. It's funny watching them school together and see how goofy they act. One will start to swim up and down the side of the tank, next thing you know, all four of them are doing it. Then they go about their business... strange entertaining fish...

Yes I love my Clown Loaches also.Sounds like yours was doing the Loachie dance. Mine do that then expect to be fed treats.
