Okay so I have no idea what this is. I have a 20 gallon with 6 albino cores, some amano shrimp and a bunch of snails. Attached is a picture of I don't know what. There is this weird bubble looking thing growing in my tank. It looks like it might be attached to the roots of my water sprite, but I have no idea what it is. It feels spongy when I touch it, but I don't want to poke a hole in it. Please help!

Maybe mold, a fungus, or some kind of aquatic mushroom...?

Mhmm. I'll pull the plant out tomorrow and see if that gives me a better idea of what it could be. I've googled everything I could and haven't found anything.

It looks like a bulb or something that's part of or attached to the bottom of the plant???

Yea that's how it looks to me. It looks like its growing from underneath the plant. I'll check tomorrow.

Do you use the capsule form of root tabs? That's what it looks like to me. Curious to know what you find
