Weird Behavior With Tank Mates

So, I have had a 10 gallon tank for year now with a betta and two African dwarf frogs. They have always gotten along. I ended up seeing this (picture below) going on in the tank and was wondering what in the world my betta is doing ? No one is hurt and the frog didn’t complain when my betta did this. It looked like he softly touched the frog with his mouth like three times. Afterwards, the frog didn’t seem fearful of the betta at all and was swimming around with it in the tank. No aggression from either side. Does anyone have any idea what this behavior means ??

Well, in this photo it looks as if the frogs are trying to mate, and the betta is taking interest and poking them with his mouth.

I don't recommend frogs with bettas as the frogs have very poor eyesight, and they can randomly lurch at anything that moves, especially fish with long fins.

I'm not sure you should be posting pictures of inter-species lovefests. There could be children on this site!

Ahaha, I see. I had no idea bettas did this. As for the stocking of my tank, I would agree that in general its risky, but these guys have been living together for so long with no issues.

I am glad I took the picture when I did, haha.

When mating fish and frogs release pheromones so it could be a curiosity thing.

Good! If you don't see any injuries between both the betta and the frog, and you are completely sure that the frogs are getting to their food, then it could be just fine.
