I hope to soon be getting a 75 gallon aquarium, and I want it on the second floor. Would it be dangerous to put it up there? If so would I 55 gallon be fine. On a slightly unrelated topic, what tank mates if any would go with an Oscar in a 75 - 125 gallon tank ( more likely a 75 )

If you have a well built house with a good foundation, structural support, and framework, then it should be fine. I’d ask my parents if I was putting a big tank upstairs, they’d decide for me.

I live in an upstairs condo and I'm afraid to buy any tank that big. When I walk by, I can see the water in my 29 gallon tank do like that water cup scene from Jurassic Park. So I wouldn't risk a 75 gallon tank myself, even though I really really really want one.

Maybe keep it next to a load bearing wall if you do it.
