    hey fishlore happy holiday!

I had a question for anyone who keeps there tanks on the living floors of their home.

I have a fishroom with 4 tanks currently. It contains a 30, 20, 9.1, and a 9. I am worried that this is to much. I realize people have 90 gallons and I do think I’m overthinking this.

Also each diy stand weighs from 40 to 90 pounds. I’m thinking together the room is around 700-800 pounds...with that and the weight of two people has me wondering. Our room is also adjacent so lots of weight on one half of house. Thoughts.

Each gallon equals 8 lbs. so you have close to 600lbs with the tanks not including stands.

My 90g tank and 55 g is against the wall. Not in the middle of the room. I read that tanks by the foundation of the house is strong enough. Also my tanks are on the ground floor.

If they are spread out I’m sure your ok and over thinking it. Remember houses should be built to hold a lot of weight. Remember when TV’s weighed a lot?
