I am about to do my weekly water change but kinda scared since I just now got my (fish-in) tank cycled.
Will doing my change will it lower my Nitrate?

It will lower your nitrate, but not permanently. How long have you been cycling for? Is this the first water change since you've started cycling?

Hello Nic...
This is the point of performing the weekly water change, to maintain a low, healthy level of nitrate in the tank water. There are beneficial bacteria that remove other more toxic forms of nitrogen like ammonia and nitrite. There is no bacteria to remove nitrate. You have to do this through the large, regular water change.
If you're cycling the tank, then there is a much different routine to follow.

So you are cycling still? What are your water parameters? Do you have fish in the tank?

Do you have nitrates in your source water? It is odd to have nitrates in your water after only 3 days of cycling... did you use media from another tank to jumpstart your cycle? How are you cycling your tank (bacterial booster, media from another tank, just checking parameters)?
