HI guys, I am planning to build a large aquarium in near future ,(my previous one being 10 gallon). my tap water have a slight brown tint. So I am using packaged drinking water for the current aquarium. I want the new tank water to be pristine without changing 50% water every week. As it is going to cost a lot. What do you suggest? I want it to be crystal clear water not even a slight milky tint. A lot of youtube videos who says how they maintain clear water actually have a slight whitish water.

Good luck with that! A new tank will go through some fazes of milky water. Packaged water will not make it so you don't have to do weekly water changes. If you want "pristine" You are going to have to do water changes every week. So it will cost a lot.

Part of it can depend on what type of filters you are running. I use canister filters with extra polyfil in them to help filter finer particles out of the water.

I am planning to have very less bio load though and may be a few plants if it helps.

Do you use other products in the market that claim to polish or clear the water.

Sometimes I will add in a water clarifier like Seachem Pristine to help reduce dissolved solids in the water column.

If the aquarium isn't to large you could add a air powered sponge filter to aswel as what ever filter you use. Place it on the other side of the tank then that will help with the bio load how ever big or small and also it will clear up the water a little bit. It made a big difference in my aquarium but I think that most sponge filters are only graded to like 30 gal sort of size tanks.. I may be wrong there may be ones that do larger aquariums to

Well it can be done. There are many here who do this. To polish the water a good filter is the Marineland magnum filters. They are made to polish the water and will clean water to crystal clear in about 2 hours. This filter is not used all the time. Just to polish the water maybe once a week.
