Week Old Tank Setup

Hello all, I am a new aquarium owner and had a few questions. I have a 36 gallon tank that is currently cycling and am about a week into it. I currently have 2 platy fish, 3 green cory cats, and a male betta. So far, everyone is getting along quite well. I have a Aqueon Quietflow 30 filter. I plan on having the following stock: 1 Betta, 6 Corys, 6 Platy, 5 White Mountain Minnows, 6 Neon Tetra, 2-3 Ghost Shrimp for cleaning and snacks for the betta.

Does this seem like a good setup? Can I add more later or is this overstocked?

Thanks!

WCMM, Emerald Corys, and Neon Tetras aren't temp compatible with Bettas.

White cloud mountain minnows and neon tetras are not temperature compatible with the betta.

White cloud mountain minnow, platies, and neon tetras are not temp compatible with the betta. Also bettas shouldn't be kept in community tanks. It is just too risky, and the results can be unpredictable. Also, WCMMs need a minimum of 6 of their own species because they're schooling fish.

That's right, Platys are up to 76! Guppies are the ones that are up to 80 (though not ideal)

Interesting points on the temperatures. I agree with the WCMM being too cold for the tank, and the cory's I can get a variety that does better in the 78 degree range such as an albino or sterbais. Platy's, I am reading info of them being okay in 78 degrees, but I can always swap them out for some Harlequin Rasboras. As far as the Betta and community, yes, I have read about this concern and will continue to keep an eye on him, but so far, everyone appears to be living peacefully. No fighting, or nipped fins, or dead fish as of yet. If that changes, I have a 5 gallon tank waiting for the bad boy.

Thanks for the info.
