Wedge a heater in sump?

So I got an ehiem heater.. but it is long, I can technically fit it in the return part of my sump, but it will be pretty tight, is there any reason I shouldn't do this? Would it be better for me to find a different heater, or is that okay?

Should be fine....just make sure it doesn't melt any plastics near the heater. Also have to consider fluctuations in water levels since it is a sump.

Yeah eheims are great.. but man, they sure make them long LOL. I had to put mine going diagonal at the bottom of my sump in the first chamber.. My return chamber was way too small. But if you can fit it there, I don't see why that'd be an issue.
