Water treatment for coralline growth?

I am starting up a FOWLR tank and I'd like to get some coralline algae growing in it. Do I need to treat the water params as if I'm running a reef tank?

Honestly coralline will come in it just takes time for the tank to mature. Probably the best way to introduce it is to find some snails that have a little growing on their shells. As for water parameters, as long as the tank is mature (ie been running for a while) and nitrates and lighting are present it will grow. If you want the look from the get go, you could go with something like Carbisea Life Rock as it has that established color from the start (cured dry rock with a man made bacteria coating):

Calcium supplements will enhance the coralline growth also .
Keep your Ca at 460 with proper nutrients and it will grow .
