Let me start off I'm still in a lost...I began my fishless cycle on july 15th....added ammonia till it was at 4-5ppm..no seeded media added...the water became hazy on the next day...on july 29th added seeded media to my filters..ammonia was still at 4-5ppm...water temp...85-86f....2 days later the water was clearing up pretty good...on aug 2nd I tested my water..ApI liquid test....ammonia dropped to 2.0ppm(looks like) nitrites are at 0.0ppm..nitrates 5.0ppm..ph 7.2ppm..high ph 7.4ppm..I know ph doesn't matter if I cycle with no fish..just wanted to add it in here..whats going on..just really want to make sure..pic included

were those the only two times you tested? did your nitrites ever go up, then drop?

Looks like you are almost there with the exception of the high ammonia. I still think you need to let the ammonia go to 0 and then test again by not adding any more drops until it does. Mine took 3.5 weeks to cycle and I had high ammonia as well like yours - After letting it drop to 0 and doing a pwc, my tank was cycled 2 days later.....
Some people never get a high nitrite spike....

I should let it drop to 0.0ppm..then redose to 2.0ppm wait 24hr.then retest..to see if it drops to 0.0ppm ammonia and 0.0ppm nitrites

What I did when my ammonia was still high was let it drop to 0, then as soon as your test confirms it, do a pwc. Test your Nitrites and Nitrates after your water change. You should see 0/0/and your nitrates. Wait 24 hours and dose with a dechlorinator such as Prime and you should be cycled. You will need to add fish right away to keep the ammonia going.

how high did you get your ammonia up to. you needed to get it up to 5ppm and keep it there the whole time tell you see nitrites. then just add what you needed to get your tank up to 5ppm every day to every other day.

I don't think your cycled, if you never saw any nitrites then you shouldnt be. nitrate can be coming from your tap water. is your ammonia disappearing fast? if you dose what u needed to, to get it to 5ppm is it gone in 24 hours?

tap water reading are 0.0ppm..there is no nitrates in the tap water...

well idk what could have happened that you didnt see any nitrites. but if you are adding 5ppm of ammonia and it is disappearing in 24 hours then you are cycled.
