Water Splashing On Hood

I have an 8" (roughly) air bubbler stick/wand/tube (not sure what they're called) and when the bubbles pop at the surface, the water splatters all over the glass hood, causing droplets to form. I tried adjusting the air flow to the lowest setting, which obviously helps, but then there are hardly any bubbles. Is there anyway to avoid this? I suppose I don't even really need a bubbler. I got it for surface agitation, but the Eheim 350 skimmer and my HOB filter do a pretty good job without the bubbler. This is the one I have:

 

Is it causing any problems or is it just an aesthetics thing? The same thing happens in my tank, I give the underside of he hood a wipe down once a week to keep algae from growing on it otherwise it doesn't cause any issues.

Whether you have water droplets from an airstone or not, your still going to get condensation droplets. The extra air being put on the tank between the lid and water surface is actually healthy for your fish.

 

I have the same thing with my sponge filters. It just drops of the lid and cycles like the water does in the real world

 

I wonder why air pumps put out so much air? I have a new Finnex 24/7 that is getting wet, grr. I can slow the flow with a valve but that seems wasteful of energy and hard on the diaphragm. Any suggestions?
