?

What's wrong with the water in the picture?

  1. Leeching tannins from driftwood

I feel like I've been asking a lot of questions lately, but here's another:

My tank water doesn't look right to me.
Does this look like tannins, bacterial bloom, or just straight-up dirty water?
The water is from a well. It has been treated with Prime. I have done nothing to start a cycle as of yet.
Tannins are okay, bacterial bloom is okay, dirty water is not okay.

    TIA! :emoji_thumbsup:

ETA: the background is supposed to be solid black.

I would say it's tannins or a bloom. If the water appears clean directly out of the well (if you put it into a bowl or clear glass), then I would rule our dirty water

The water doesn't come out completely clear from the source. It does have a little bit of a tan tinge, but nothing like this. Sounds like it's probably tannins then! Thanks. :)
