Water Flow To Fast?

So tomorrow I'm going to start stocking my tank by picking up Rummynose Tetras. Nest come the Corydoras, then the Hatchet Fish.

But I have a concern, I feel like the water flow from my Fluval 406 is to fast for these gentle fish. Is there a way I can slow the current?

My intake is on the far right, the output is about halfway down the tank, height wise, and to the far left of the tank.
I'm afraid I might be asking to many questions, but I really don't want to harm any fish!

There's a million and one ways to baffle your outflow. You can use a cutout of a water bottle or pvc packed with foam/floss/make a spraybar etc.

    I have a 55 gallon tank.

I'll google instructions for making a spray bar, thank you.
