I am starting my first tank right now, my question is this.  when i change my tank water i add the drops of conditioner to it then add it to the tank immediately, is this enough time to treat the water?  i am concerned that it isn't and the chlorine in the water is killing off the beneficial bacteria that is needed to start the cycling process!!  Please let me know what YOU think.

Yep, it's okay. The water conditioner immediately treats your water. I use a python in my tanks, and while the water is going back into the tank, I pour the water conditioner into the stream.

I am glad this question was asked, b/c I was wondering the same thing. I thought it worked immediately, but I just got a Python, and had always treated before adding water to the tank, so now I know.
Thanks!!

Some folks are leery of doing this, but I haven't lost any fish doing it this way. If you are concerned, pour your conditioner in the tank first before refilling.
