hI there! Are all the freshwater conditioners ok for electric blue lobsters as well? I assume you cycle and treat the same as for fish? (Prime, Ammo lock, accu clear, stress zyme)

Thanks!

Yes it’s safe.

Hopefully I can pursuade you to ditch everything but the prime. Prime already detoxifies ammonia, so you don’t need ammo lock. Accuclear may help in the short run, but it’s bad for your fish in the long run and doesn’t address the problem. Stress zyme is a great example of efficient marketing. It doesn’t relieve stress, it’s supposed to be bottled bacteria, but it’s a total scam.

I agree you’re adding a lot of pointless chemicals. All you really need is a dechlorinator, which in your case is Prime.

Thanks so much! All is going in the garbage but Prime .

So is cloudy water a sign that the tank isn’t fully cycled yet? Is that bacteria? Waste?

Ah, smart move, I like you already!

Do you have a test kit? When did you start up the tank? A lot of the time I think food is the main culprit.

I do have a test kit. I’m showing Some ammonia still (.25). The only reason I have fish in it is they came with the used tank I bought so I’m trying my best! I did take over half the tank water and the filter so I was hoping it would be easier to cycle and less stressful on the fish

Awesome. Just keep ammonia and nitrites under 1 ppm and dose Prime every 24 hours until they’re both zero.
