This is my first post.

I have a betta in a Fluval Chi (one of my two tanks) --- and just have a quick question. I do weekly water changes approx 20-30% but the water clarity isn't super great. I can still see him just fine but was wondering if there are any tips anyone could give?

I do use a siphon to clean as well and he has black sand for a substrate. And there is a snail in there too I had three but two passed.

Is the tank cycled? Parameters? Picture? How long has it been set up? Cloudiness could indicate a bacterial bloom.
Tank has been up for about a month now. Using the dimensions it's 10 x 10 x 14.5 inches and five gallons.

Excuse the bare bones of the tank, I've only had the fish for a short amount of time and wanted to get him established. Also he's mostly white so you can't see him like you can my koi betta in my other tank.
