Water bridge? Anyone Know?

anyone know what that fish tank is called where theres a main fish tank and then a little arch above it that the fish can swim in

The do, I have seen some DIY tutorials about it, but I still cant really understand how you would get the water in the bridge, or gravel vacuum weekle without making a mess, and you would need to saw holes in the lid or the tank.

Yeah its so cool but idek how the water stays in the pipe and doesnt just overflow the tank...

So long as the two connected tanks have the same water level, they maintain equal force on the water in the bridge. Same principals at work as in a gravel vac siphon.
