Have two very hungry pea puffers who love snails so I’m currently looking to buy some pest snails. Would prefer medium to large sized snails and in large amounts. I’m willing to pay .10 a snail at the most, plus shipping. Serious sellers only please. If you have a lot of them, could be long term sales for you!

Pm me.

Honestly, if you have a lfs with a planted tank. You could probably just go in and ask them for some. And get you like a 10 gallon tank to put them in and put it by a window.

^ that's how I got the ones for my jarrariums! I just asked my LFS for some and he cleaned out his tanks for me.

I just broke down and found a seller on Aquabid who sells them in 50 and 100 quantity. Bought 100. I hate to spend money on these but needed them.

Local fish store is Petco and I work there. Not enough snails. And I do have a small tank that I keep them in but they don’t seem to want to repopulate. Just my luck.

If I may ask, what was the shipping costs? Hate spending more then 10 cents a piece.

Free. Included in cost. Will be here in 2 days. The 50 is cheaper obviously. I think it was 19.99.

I recently ordered from him on eBay. You won't be disappointed. I tried 3 times to get snails here. 2 dead shipments that stunk to high heaven and one that stole my money and never shipped them at all. Finally, after 3 weeks, I just gave up and ordered. Same person. They came great. No stinky, smelly water. I had a large priority box with 3 separate bags of snails all on wet paper towels. All alive, and the seller lives 5 hours from me and it took the post office 3 days to get it here priority mail because they screwed up, during a heat warning I may add. Excellent, excellent... I cannot say enough good things. I am so happy.

I need them so bad. I have one more day to wait. I literally dug out every single snail I could find for my puffers yesterday, found one on my main tank, gave it to them. Found a few tiny ones and a few MTS and one or 2 Ramshorn tiny babies. I don't know what I am going to feed them today. I tried blood worms again yesterday, will not touch them. I even tried sinking pellets, tiny ones, thinking maybe they will think they are snails because they all to the ground like the snails do. No go. Will my puffers die in 1 day with no food, if I cannot find any? My mail person is such a pain too, he/she does not come until 3:30 ish in the afternoon, so literally have to wait all day. Next time, I will order way before I think I am going to run out because it takes so long for the babies to grow up. I'm trying to thing of something food wise I have here for people, like frozen chicken pieces or something, not cooked, so no spices, etc.

They should be okay for one day, only thing you can do is set up a tank to feed just snails that way they grow quicker for you.

I have a 3 gallon set up for feeder snails, just ran out. I had hoped the ones in there would breed fast and build up, adding some MTS and Ramshorn over past week or 2, but the babies take too long to grow to where they can be fed. When I did my water change on the 40G on Sunday, found like 12 of them, put them in the feeder tank, and they are gone too.

Someone here feeds theirs clams on a shell, frozen of course, gonna try to get some of them put them in the freezer, but I cannot find the post she made with the pic of what she gets, so I do not know which ones are puffer size. The probably won't eat them either.

Far as the frozen blood worms. My two guys wouldn’t eat them at first either. I ended up buying the MINI bloodworms from San Francisco Bay. Get a pair of tweezers and try wiggling a blood worm in front of them. Tap lightly on the glass so they learn to know what it means. Now my two love them and I hand feed a little to them everyday along with their snails. I have a petre dish in each setup that I drop extra worms and snails in. They have learned that it is for food. Helps keep the mess a bit under control too.

Far as the clams, I bought the hakarI Clams on the half shell and they are huge! Too big for these type of guys. Not to mention the smell. So if there are smaller one out there, I’m curious too.

Get you some freshwater clams to feed them with, they are relatively cheap and easy for you to break open and place in the dish for feeding. (they would be live food at that point until you crack them open)

I will try a dish, been using a cone and they don't go near the cone. I don't know how to use tweezers, for now they seem to run away from my hand, other than when I am dropping in snails.

I thought the clams looked too big. Thanks.

I found one big bladder snail in the big 40G so fished that out and dropped it in the puffer tank, so one of them ate something today. Feel horrible. I will be looking all day for more in my feeder tank and the big 40G.

Look right here in the BTSF section of the forums - several people regularly sell bladder snails

You are right but at the moment nobody is and she posted a post asking if anybody has any and nobody has responded, so must not have any currently. I have some Ramshorn coming from people here, but that won't be enough for long, so had to do something and they won't be here till tomorrow, late in the day.
