Wait a bit after adding Quick Start?

Ok, so I am confused on the API Product "Quick Start". It says "add fish instantly" Does that mean like add the fish in the same time you add Quick start? Or do I have to wait a day or two. On the bottle it just says "instant". I don't plan on using this product, I like to cycle my tank for a month at least, and buy live bacteria (refrigerated). This has just been on my mind for a while now. What is in the quick start as well? Is it beneficialbacteria?

 

I don't use API Quickstart myself, but I believe that it is some kind of beneficial bacteria (BB). It is not a water conditioner it just helps detoxify ammonia and nitrIte.

I used it when I first learned my tank wasn't cycled (came with a multipack of stress coat). It had to contain BB as my tank got cloudy a day afterwards (looked like algae bloom). I followed all the instructions on the packaging it just didn't work. Luckily TSS+ did.

Though don't let it scare you away from trying it. Everyone has their own story, and has gone through their own struggles with just about everything aquarium related. I mean if you didn't fail a few times then you wouldn't learn to do things the right way, and you would not have went looking for this forum. I know that if you are using prime then it can negatively effect TSS and TSS+.

You put up a great point margot13 . I got to learn some how! I will go and buy a 5.5 Gallon hospital tank, and try to use the QS . I will definitely let you guys know how it goes!
