yes they will probably hide for a few days until they get the tank checked out. If you have plants(real or artificial) they may use them to hide in until tehy feel more secure. For a bit boisterious fish will make them hide also. After they've got everybody checked out they will be all over the tank
Mine that I have right now are offspring of my original pair. Their tank mates are 2 Clown Loaches, a Rhino Plec and various neons. These are all in a 75 gallon. the angels swim at all levels also They eat flake when I feed tehm and they also "help" the clowns and plec eat their food.I have found the Koi angels to be more mild mannered than the others that I have owned. Don't know if type has anything to do with it or not but it seems to.
OK I'm babbling now
Hi Chris the only real way to tell the sex of angels is by the breeding tubes. There are sayings that the male has a caudal bump on his "forehead" and the females are more round in appearance. But so far the only for sure way is to wait for the breeding tubes and the females will be round at the tip and the males will look like a pen tip. I have a pic on the breeding thread of my female angel with her breeding tube. It is small and is whitish. hope this helps.
Congratulations You'll love your angels They'll be even more beautiful when they're fully grown and mature A 60 gallon tank is a great home for angelfish - I'm sure they will appreciate it and will love it.
