Hi FishLore!

It is my pleasure to finally announce that the entire farm of Vishaquatics is now fully complete! After many months of planning and construction, the farm is complete.

As of this afternoon, I have finished the daughter plant grow-out tank that will be producing submersed plants directly for the customer tanks. This grow-out tank is approximately 210 gallons and is completely illuminated with artificial lighting, thus creating plants that are completely adapted to life underwater AND artificial aquarium lighting.

After about 10 straight hours of harvesting and planting, this is the result.

Thanks! I was initially shutting down for college but decided to reopen in April/May since college will be online for me this fall due to COVID19. I will be staying at home so I'll have the time to run this business.

Thank you! I may not have all of the plant species ready as soon as I start selling, but I'm hoping that I'll at least have a majority of the species listed.

I need all the bacopa varieties, I bet those will be ready since they grow well, and I definitely need the bucephalandra, I love, LOVE, those, but I know tend to grow slow.

I'll definitely have the australis and monnieri ready. The bacopa caroliniana has taken a long time to adjust after arriving a bit beat up. I haven't been able to harvest the caroliniana yet because the mother plants have not produced sufficient daughter stems. The australis and monnieri are extremely prolific though.

The buce grows painfully slow and that definitely won't be ready for a couple more months.

Wow. I’m impressed. Not just with the set-up itself but the time commitment being a college student. Looks like I gotta start taking notes

Looks Great Vishaquatics . Are those metal halides (sp) your using for your lighting? also are you using CO2, Liquid Ferts. or EI dosing?

Thanks! Lighting is a variety of LED lights. I am using CO2, and a customized dry fert schedule.

Will you be noting which plants will require co2, and fertilizer recommendations?

Yes, but out of all the plants listed, only the limnophila aromatica mini, pogostemon helferi, Rotala macrandras, and Pogostemon erectus generally need CO2. Even these plants can be grown without CO2, but conditions would have to be superb for good growth.

The rest of the plants are super easy, low maintenance, and grow just fine with a basic all in one fertilizer and decent light. The only issue is that the growth is quite slow.
