Video - 10 Gallon Shell Dweller Tank

Here's a video of my 10 gallon Neolamprologus Multifasciatus tank. I've had fish in this tank for about 2 weeks (closer to 3 weeks now that the week is almost over).

Very nice! I almost did my 10 for shell dwellers but I took a different route, now I’m jealous lol

 

These guys are awesome! I kept a pair of Neolamprologus Brevis in a 5.5 a few years ago. I loved keeping them! I'd love to keep a larger colony some day.

Thanks guys! I didn't expect it, but this tank pretty quickly became my favorite. These are such fun fish to watch.

 

6 Week Update

A lot has changed in my 10 gallon shell dweller tank since the last video. Both males have bred. I moved the tank to a different room. I got more shells. The fry are developing. The sand has been moved around again (and again, and again). And it looks like the 2 females who haven't bred yet are nesting. I filmed this video right after feeding, so the fry (and the adults) would be more active. That is what you see floating around in the water. Flake food. The brown on the glass is diatom algae. I leave it because the fry do graze on it. All of these fish will be moving to a 20 gallon long as soon as the fry develop enough for me to feel comfortable moving them.

 

I upgraded my shell dweller tank. I also moved these fish out of the fish room and put their new tank in the dining room.
