Vettel & Hamilton - Kissing Gourami - Should I Leave Them As A Pair?

As most of you already know, I have a pair of Kissing Gourami, Vettel & Hamilton, who were delivered together and have lived together in my aquarium for around 2 months or so.

I have another identical aquarium coming later today that I had planned on moving them both too once cycled.

The reasons for moving are simple. They chase each other a high speed, often running over the other fish, frequently getting quite aggressive with each other but so far no injuries to either Gourami or other fish. Vettel is occasionally...erm...not so much aggressive but very irritating towards Percy the Pleco, usually hanging off Percy's tail and stealing his food. The chasing is getting more frequent despite the aquarium having plenty of hiding areas, plants etc so they can, if wanted, stay out of sight line

I have Corys who have babies and they too get bowled over by the racing Gouramis

So my dilemma is do I move both Vettel & Hamilton or do I move just Vettel since he is the more aggressive of the pair? Would splitting them up cause an excessive amount of distress or will Hamilton enjoy not being harrassed by him and settle down more on his own?

All thoughts gratefully received, thank you

Well yes....since they are both as tempermental as each other, that might not be a bad idea

I'd separate two male Gourami. They tend not to enjoy each others company.

I had a really bad experience with two male Pearl Gourami in a 50g.

They bullied one looked close to death, then I suddenly lost the Alpha (he jumped) and the bullied has had a new lease of life and rules the tank.

The second aquarium is now starting the cycling process, so have time to consider the options.....part of me wants to keep them together since they arrived together but if they carry on behaving as they are, then someone will get hurt and I really do not want that to happen

After several attempts I'd now only keep Kissing Gourami singly.

But they are awesome fish, one of the best.
