Vanished Fish And Other Creepiness

calebringabell

So I came back two weeks since last I saw my algae eater, and he is no where to be found... I kid you not, the most scared fish in my tank is no longer seen in my tank. I even put my hand in and looked through the rocks and he never darted out. Could the fish have ate him if he died within two weeks time?

2nd creepy thing is that I’m having growth of plants on plants. These 4 legged (roots) are on my plants that have big leaves, and they’re on ALL my plants. Some have shown to have little leaves growing from the 4 roots, so I don’t think it’s compketely an invasive new species.

A picture would help on the plants. Yes a fish could have been eatin in 2 weeks. Went to Aruba for a week last year. Son watching the tank. Came home my 5”koi angelfish was gone. Gone nothing left no ammonia in the tank. I think the bn pleco ate it.

Are the plants java ferns?

I agree with 86 ssinit about the missing fish and if you have java ferns that is how they reproduce. Little plantlets grow on the leaves of the parent plant.
