Vallisneria's Fluval Flex 15 gallon build

I’m finally setting up a tank after a 20 year absence from the hobby. I had planned to do it a year ago but world events got in the way. I settled on a Fluval Flex 57 liter/ 15 gallon, and got my hardscape laid out. Pretty simple; just 3 pieces of wood and a few rocks. Substrate is Fluval Stratum. I plan on heavily planting the tank so wanted as much real estate as possible. I’ll have ground cover in the front, some mid ground plants amongst the wood, probably buce or crypts, and some stem plants to cover the ugly black plastic background. I’ll attach some anubias or java fern to the wood. The tank will eventually be lightly stocked but I want the plants to grow in first and get the tank cycled, which I’ll attempt with ammonia.

looking good! I recommend crypts for the tank, but I might just be biased

Love the lighting in that tank (I have 2 of them). Anything with red color, like Ember Tetras really shine in it.
Also red decos fluoresce nicely.

Thanks for the replies. I'll be ordering plants as soon as there is a stretch of reasonable weather here. We are in lockdown so going to the LFS is out and I'll have to mail order. Final plant selection will depend of what's avaialable at the time!
