I recently purchased a uv filter for my 125 gal aquarium. I purchased it for overall fish health & water clarity. Everywhere ive looked online states that i should be running it 24/7. In my particular case is this necessary ? Does running it for a few hours a day have a negative effect ? In my mind running it for let say 4 hours a day preserves the light bulb life.
