Using Seachem with jungle val?

I have seen numerous users say that you should not use Seachem Flourish Excel if you are trying to grow jungle val. Is it just the excel that doesn't work with Jungle Val that or is it all Seachem products? I am thinking of switching to API Leaf Zone, but I'm wondering if it is okay to sometimes dose with the individual nutrient products, like Seachem Iron, Potassium, etc.

I've used Excel and Leaf Zone and couldn't tell that either hurt my vals. I'm not saying the Excel didn't hurt other people's, because plants will behave differently in different water, light, fertilization, etc, but it doesn't hurt mine.

I use it for the Vals in my goldfish tank. Works well, I haven't seen any damage from it so far :)

Okay, cool. Do you use Excel and Leaf Zone simultaneously, or do you just dose as needed?

I don't think I've ever dosed them on the same day, but I have on consecutive days.

Leaf zone is not a good fert for your only fertilizer. It is only Potassium and Iron. Oh and water. :p It should be used as a booster to your normal fert if you need it. I suggest looking for all in one. Thrive and Easy Green are good ones.

Why are you wanting to use Excel?
