Using Old Tank To Start New Tank

I have a 20 gallon established tank and am looking to move to a new 55 gallon tank.
ill be using a new canister filter, new substrate (sand) everything new.
so if I just add the new bio media( shown in pic) in my old tank before putting it in my new filter will it help jumpstart the new tank. I might also add one of my 20 gallons filters on the new tank for a bit ( ones an aqua clear 20 and the other one an aquaclear 50)

Yes, that will work. 3 weeks before I started my 20 gallon, I squeezed some new media into my 5 gallon to get it seeded.

When the 20 gallon setup was ready, in addition to the new media that was seeded, I also used a sponge from my old 5 gallon. Everything else was new. The tank was cycled instantly, and I was able to add fish the next day. Obviously, take your time with stocking, gradually adding the fish you want every 2 weeks or so.

I had sorta the same situation when my old 60 gal sprung a leak and I had to get a 20 gal temp ,until I could get a new 60 gal .anything you can add from the old tank will help keep somewhat of a cycle going ,you adding the old filter will be perfect as most BB is in the filter, that's what I did ,I kept it my old filter running on the temp tank, then moved it over to my new tank ,when everything was set up I let it run overnight, then added the fish one at a time into the tank, everything went fine.I would keep the old filter running on the new tank for a least a couple of weeks, just make sure the temperature is the same in the new tank,as the tank there in now.

Yes, sounds good. Seed the media in your existing tank. Moving the AC20 to larger tank would prob help jump start cycle.

Maybe add a sponge filter to the 20 gallon also, and move it to the larger tank when its ready?

Those are great at colonizing bacteria.

Test the water. That'll tell you when.
