I need to know if I would be overstocked if I did-

    2 Honey Gourami's
    6 Purple Rasboras
    15 Pygmy Corydoras
    6 Mystery Snails
    2 Rabbit Snails?

Try doing 8 Harlequins/Purple Rasboras instead of 6, you would have room for the extra and the fish would enjoy it better.

I got lucky and they had the Purple Rasboras so I got 9. lol I figured better to get an extra in case I lose one and then they don't have anymore.

    And as requested, some pics!
The Honey's are still nervous in the new tank but the Rasboras have taken right to it. 70dda1e009ffd591808fa0bb252327cb.jpg8811f05fb6b74b03422f939cd0eeabd5.jpg8a311140306b869dd929d2f6c4249653.jpgd0c12c7e91d97810b60ae4e74994bec4.jpgf783fd4fad26c3cb5568a1bfacd81158.jpg4905c16d251fe1c5fea10c1ffebd32a6.jpg73933ce3869abb1b6d94967b0f31af79.jpgae6322963006f53ea7b9b04578d36d8b.jpgc2f592be1ef354f8a95f36fcd5a42caf.jpg

Thank You! I am loving my tank now and I am so glad I went with the Purples. They bring so much life to the tank. :)

Some better ones of the Rasboras. 031732ca50b4b8ce2a22b1d777086c0b.jpg631d6f2f656c710e89fa948372542d95.jpg

Is it ok that I have 2 male Honey Gourami's? I thought 2 males would be better since they wouldn't have the aggression issue when mating.
I already had them and moved them to the 20 from the 29.

Both of my honeys were males and were fine. They'd chase each other on occasion and would face up to each other and touch feelers but never do damage.

Thanks. That makes me feel better. Now I just hope they don't go after the Pygmys or the snails. They were with the Pygmys before so I think they should continue to do well, but we'll have to see with the snails.

I know I'm pushing it, but I took back the Thick Lipped and got a Pearl. So I now have 1 Pearl Gourami, 1 female GBR, 4 Lamb Chops, 8 Sterbai Corydoras and 1 female Platy in my 29 gal. tank.. Hopefully it'll work out and he/she will be happy. I also can't wait to up my school of Lamb Chop Rasboras I'm thinking 8-10 would be a good sized school, but I can't find them anywhere now. Even online they are out of stock.

I think the pearl will be OK. Usually pretty risky mixing gouramis, but pearls are pretty chill and honeys are extremely docile.

Actually the Pearl is in my 29 gal tank and the Honey's are in my 20 gal.
I edited it so it would make more sense.

Kinda stopped thinking for a second, my bad. Pearl should still be fine. Sterbais, pearls and the GBR all like higher temps. Think rasboras do too but I haven't kept them since I was like 12 lol

lol I wouldn't say lucky yet. If he.she does well then I would consider myself lucky. Gonna get some pics tomorrow. I think it's probably a male, but I'd like some more opinions.

From what I read the Rasboras are good between 72-80 with 82 being the max so they should be happy.

Probably. I'd be keeping that water at like 79-80ish.

They can be VERY hard to sex. Some people say the males never develop the red breast until introduced to a female, and that's the easiest way to tell.

    Good luck all the same!

My heater is preset for 78. I do have another one that I think I'm gonna switch to. I think that one is adjustable.

Very interesting. Well as long as he/she is pretty and bright I'll be happy.
Thanks! I'm probably gonna need it. lol
