Just bought a foam "volcano type island for my 4ft tank. i thought it would take the water on and sink. Instead after getting it in there, it floats, and will not sink. squeezing it doesnt seem to work, and also damages it.

there must be a simple answer?

I need to go out asap, but can't as i can't put the lid on the tank!!!

help please asap!

Was this volcano specifically made for aquariums?

Hi, yes from a very good place as well last one they had. the only other ones were £80 odd and they were huge. Its got airstones etc built into it as well.

squeezed it alot, got more air out, and covered it in rocks. i don't think its going to "naturally" belled itself of air though.

I've just put it in the tank and cleared some space around it. Its "wedged" up one end against another decoration at the back, and there's four rocks on it to help keep it there. This just about works! any ideas/

Tank surround and cabinet are home made, so excuse the lid for the moment, it needs a hinge mounted flap in the middle, and the bottom cabinet needs inner sides.

8) The volcano looks really cool. I hope it decides to stay where it belongs so you can enjoy it. ;D
