Urgent (fish Problem)

So yesterday I added 3 neon tetras and 2 amano shrimp to my 35l tank. It already has a minnow and it's two babies in It (which aren't really babies anymore they are the size of the neon shrimp.)

I have three problems:

1 - the big minnow seems to chase the rest around quite a lot. But when he's (it is male) not they are alright together.

2 - this is the more urgent one. All the fish seem to be open and closing there mouths a fair bit. More than I think is correct. Is this normal or not.

3 - this is a but odd but when I got the shrimp at the let shop they jumped between tank. Does anyone know how high they can jump.

Thanks for my help.

1: 99% sure your minnow needs a proper school. A school of fish is 6+ fish. My mountain cloud minnows live in a school of 12, they chase each other occasionally, but don't nip.
2: Do you have a filter, is the tank cycled?, did you float your fish until the bag water temperature matched the tank temp? If you answer yes, then the fish are okay.
3: I don't know, but you won't need to find out if you have a secure hood on.

1: yeah. I know. Once the 3 minnows have dies I am think I'll get a small school of neon tetras.

2: the tank is definitely cycled. I floated the bag for 45minute's then didn't post the water into the tank from the bag.

3: I've got a lid but the pipes from the canister filter mean at the back it comes up by 1/4 of an inch. Also there is a finger hole in the front to lift the lid up which has a 2cm diameter.

Thanks for help. Have I done everything correctly. What can I do.

Oh. Cheers. Not too great seen as my tank is 13" tall. Why do they jump.

Normally when startled shrimp, lobster, crayfish all have a fast get away and this is backwards and at high speed

When we got our amano shrimp the lady at the pet store warned us that they jump. I was freaked out for a good couple weeks they would figure out how to jump out of the tank Ben with the hood. Like it would jump out by the filter.... LOL but all is well and they are fine. No jumping.

I would say for question 2 is as long as they are not gasping the top of the tank and it is cycled they should be fine,

That's lazy, you should try rehoming your minnows so you don't have to worry about them stressing your other fish with chasing. You can use craiglist even.
