HI guys I will be upgrading to a 90 gallon tank soon from a 55 and I was wondering if I could transfer my cycled filter from the 55 gallon to the new 90g and be able to directly add fish in it or will I still need to cycle it? It's an aquaclear 70 and I will be buying another one so I have 2 of them for the 90 gallon.

If you are adding another filter to the 90 and transferring all your fish over you can just move the filter over as well and no need to cycle it

I would also add a few decorations to the new tank.
Just to be sure.
Without cleaning them.

Just to make sure, it is okay to use new water right? Or should I take the water from the 55 gallon tank

You can use new water as long as it's treated with a dechlorinater and the pH is similar to that your fish are in now

Yes just make sure to dechlorinate it.
If yoyuu can id use half new watee half old to make sure water paramaters are closer so there's not a HUGE difference.
Also try to make the temp as close as possible to rhe 55G tank.

Another thing id suggest is letting your new filter for the 90G tank run for a little while on your current 55G tank to get some extra BB.
