hey guys! I want some ideas on how to stock my 20 gallon. So far this is what I want to include:
6 rummy nose tetras
possibly shrimp
possibly corys
would shrimp and corys work with rummys?

this is what my tank look like so far! there's a few big spaces left for a cave
I'm really happy with it so far

Rummynose Tetras would be perfectly fine with Cories - just make sure you can get food to the cories when feeding.

I'm not sure how the tetras would be with the shrimp... I feel like mine would try to eat shrimp if I put them in. And my tank has more plants than yours does....

can I get corys if I have a gravel substrate or will it be too rough for them?

They would really, really prefer sand.

So I want rummynose tetras to be the main point of my 20 gallon tank. Through research I've heard various opinions and have come to the conclusion that they need to be introduced to a cycled, stable tank. What would be a good fish to add to my tank to start the cycle before adding them? I don't have any fish in my tank right now.

The cories would like to be in a group of at least 5-6. I would go with a smaller type such as pandas to avoid overcrowding. I've used both gravel and Eco complete with cories over the years, and they have been fine.
