Update On Walmart Betta's.

So both Atlas which is crown tail, and Thor which is my lil deformed guy with I think is cancer, what else would his lump be? Both are coming along nicely with everything. I can't wait for Atlas's tail to come back. He is missing a small section which a lot of them where, makes wonder if it happened when they where being bagged. The first set of shots is Thor. Pretty sure that Atlas wasn't supposed to be a Walmart betta. I have never seen a black Orchid crowntail in Walmart before.

 

I'm glad you gave them a better home than the garbage Walmart has them in. I have seen some rather remarkable fish come through Walmart tho. You just have to know their shipment dates and be the first one there lol. Oh, and quarantine and expect a battle with any specimens you get from there.

Yes that why these guys are in keepers. The smallest I have is gallon. I have 5 gallon tanks for these guys.


I do but, I can not get any more betta fish my girlfriend is ripping her hair out. I a 40 gallon rolling, a 30 gallon, a 20, two 10's, my 4 keepers. One is a gallon the rest are 2 gallons or more.

Thank you, yes I got lucky with him. We normally only get a lot reds, and blues. And never a big slection either which in my eyes is good. We do not need more in this store. They legit sit in shelf with no lights, no heat, and NO protection from the general public. Young punk kids like to make these fish fight, then store just dumps down the drain and takes the loss which isn't much of one, they get their pennies back.

They are some beautiful Lil boys that's for sure. Although Thor has cancer, and a hard time eating because of the placement of his mouth. He has to gull air a couple times to fill his lung. He legit can not eat flakes and can get a pellet or two, but frozen shrimp, and blood works are the easy for to just suck right in. I hand feed him just to make sure he gets enough food.
